Course Overview

COBIT® 5 provides an end-to-end view of the governance and management of enterprise IT. It reflects the central role of information and technology in creating value for enterprises of all sizes and is applicable to all organisation.
The COBIT® 5 Foundation course introduces the candidate to the five basic principles which are covered in detail and includes extensive guidance on enablers for governance and management of enterprise IT. Also included are the foundation concepts of a process assessment model (PAM) based on the ISO 15504 assessment approach and COBIT® 5 implementation.

COURSE PREREQUISITES

While this course has no specific prerequisites, it is assumed that students will have a basic understanding of IT and IT concepts.

Examination

The course also prepares students for the COBIT® 5 Foundation Certificate examination.

The purpose of the Foundation certificate is to confirm that a candidate has sufficient knowledge and understanding of the COBIT® 5 guidance to be able to understand the enterprise governance and management of enterprise IT and create awareness with their business executives and senior IT management.

The course culminates in a 40-minute multiple choice exam administered by PeopleCert.
