• Schwabb ‘6 things’: what are the six most important things I/you/we need to do tomorrow, in order?
• SEPA analysis (Strengths, experiences, priorities, aspirations)
• What opportunities exist in the present situation for me to be using my strengths more?
• What obstacles do we anticipate when focusing on our top priorities tomorrow?
• Using coaching questions to promote ownership
• End of day review: what went well today? What did we achieve? Where did we make progress (even if not completed)?
• Microleadership, NOT micromanagement

Wellbeing

• Maslow’s hierarchy of needs
• Ways to create strong social cohesion with virtual teams:
– Longer check-in, genuine interest, not multitasking, use of tech to promote team working (virtual lunch breaks / coffee breaks, scheduled messages, personal engagement, breaking bread together)
• 1:1 time with line manager – even remotely
• What is the right level of encouragement and emotional support? (empower, don’t rescue)
• Particular focus on strengths: what did I/you do best today?
• Highlights of today (Michael Winner’s golden tiles) / gratitudes
